"Are You a Darkness-Sucker-Upper?"
Topic: Christian Living Passage: Acts 2:1–2:13, Genesis 2:7
When you read Scripture, does it grab you? Does it entice you to read more? Do you wonder about what it was like to live during that time period? In other words, when you read Scripture, are you engaged? If not, then consider shedding the perspective of an adult and look through the lens of a child.
The faith of a child is an amazing thing. Not only does it open your heart and mind to the freedom of salvation through Jesus, but it encourages wonder and inspires awe. The faith of a child asks questions and sees possibilities that adults frequently dismiss out of experience. What we sometimes forget is that the Lord is a God of possibilities and He has the wisdom and muscle to make them happen.
This week we are going to explore the birth of the Church where the Lord breathed life into the Bride of Christ in Acts 2. We are going to look into one of the Apostolic gifts and challenge you to discover and use your own God-given gifts. Join us at 9:30 a.m. for Adult Sunday School followed by the morning service at 10:30. You will be glad that you did.
